Paid Marketing Manager

The Paid Marketing Manager owns Bici’s paid media performance across all major channels, driving sustainable growth for both eComm and retail. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing paid marketing efforts while building internal capability through clear systems, reporting, and team leadership.

You’ll be accountable for budget management, performance outcomes, and experimentation, balancing hands-on campaign execution with coaching a small team and continuously improving how paid marketing supports the business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Own paid marketing strategy and execution across Google Search, Shopping/PMax, Meta, YouTube, and emerging channels
  • Manage monthly and quarterly paid media budgets within defined ranges
  • Be accountable to performance targets including ROAS, CAC, and revenue contribution
  • Forecast spend and expected returns to support planning and decision-making
  • Build, launch, and optimize campaigns directly where needed
  • Review and optimize campaign execution by team members
  • Establish testing and experimentation frameworks to improve performance over time
  • Oversee product feed health and structure in Google Merchant Center
  • Monitor performance using GA4, Shopify analytics, and Looker Studio
  • Produce clear, actionable reporting and insights for leadership
  • Reallocate budget and effort mid-cycle as performance and priorities shift
  • Set priorities, workflows, and development plans for the paid marketing team
  • Coach and develop junior team members, interns, and contractors

Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in paid marketing or performance marketing roles
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Shopping/PMax
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce metrics including ROAS, CAC, AOV, and conversion rate
  • Experience managing budgets and forecasting performance
  • Comfort working in GA4, Shopify analytics, and Looker Studio
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Bonus:

  • Experience in retail or omnichannel businesses
  • Familiarity with feed optimization and product-level performance analysis
  • Experience building internal paid marketing processes and documentation
  • Interest in cycling, gear, or performance-driven consumer products

Position Title: Paid Marketing Manager
Location: 1497 Adanac Street, Vancouver, BC
Position Types: Permanent Full-Time (37.5 hours/week, some weekend availability)
Manages: 1-2 coordinators/specialists, plus interns and contractors
Compensation: $60-80k, plus bonus program


Performance Ownership

You’ll own paid media performance across Google, Meta, and emerging channels. Budgets, targets, and outcomes sit with you—and you’ll manage them closely to drive efficient, sustainable growth across eComm and retail.

Experimentation & Optimization

From campaign builds to testing frameworks, you’ll lead how we learn and improve. Structured experimentation, feed health, and ongoing optimization help us understand what’s working and where to invest next.

Team & Collaboration

You’ll guide a small paid marketing team and work closely with eComm, Merchandising, and Retail. Clear reporting, shared priorities, and good communication keep performance moving in the right direction.
