Chain 10sp CN-HG95 116 links
The CN-HG95 is Shimano's 10-speed HG-X chain for mountain and trekking drivetrains. SIL-TEC treatment on both the pin link plates and the roller link plates separates it from the plain-plated CN-HG54 below it in the range. The roller link pins carry a chromizing treatment, and the chain runs solid rather than hollow pins throughout.
The joining method matters here. HG-X 10-speed chains close with a reinforced connecting pin rather than a quick link, and Shimano specifies both the 10-speed pin and a matching chain tool for the job. The chain is also directional, with the marked face fitted outward. Running it reversed reduces shifting quality, and a cut should never fall on a joined pin.
