June – September | 16-24 hours per week Per Week | $23–$25/hour

Are you passionate about cycling, community events, and creating memorable experiences? We're looking for an energetic and organized Seasonal Events Coordinator to help bring our cycling community together through rides, fundraisers, brand activations, and special events throughout the summer season.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves bicycles, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two weeks are the same.

About the Role

As our Seasonal Events Coordinator, you'll support the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of cycling-focused events, including:

  • Cycling brand partnership activations
  • In-store and community-based events and BBQs.
  • Group rides and product launches
  • Charity fundraisers such as the Cypress Challenge
  • Community cycling events including Shim's Crit, the Whistler GranFondo, and other local cycling initiatives

The role combines event-day execution with administrative planning and coordination. Expect approximately one event day per week, plus administrative and preparation hours, totaling 16-24 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Assist with planning and logistics for seasonal events
  • Coordinate event schedules
  • Communicate with brand partners, community organizations, and event participants
  • Organize event materials, signage, displays, and promotional assets

Event Execution

  • Represent the company at events, rides, expos, and fundraisers
  • Set up and tear down event spaces
  • Support event participants and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Coordinate staff, volunteers, and partner representatives on-site
  • Lead and support community group rides, acting as a confident ride leader while promoting safety, inclusivity, and a positive participant experience
  • Capture event feedback and post-event reporting

Administrative Support

  • Maintain event calendars and planning documents
  • Track budgets, invoices, and event expenses
  • Assist with social media and marketing coordination related to events
  • Support partnership outreach and relationship management

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move event equipment and displays
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation preferred
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience in event coordination, hospitality, marketing, or community engagement
  • Passion for cycling and knowledge of the local cycling community
  • Experience working with brands, sponsors, or community organizations
  • Photography, social media, or content creation skills
