Premium Headset, Lower, EC34/30, 37g
The Wolf Tooth Premium Headset lower is an external cup assembly for frames built to the EC34 standard. It sits below the head tube and carries the fork steerer on a sealed cartridge bearing. The Premium version runs an Enduro stainless steel bearing, which Wolf Tooth backs with a lifetime bearing warranty.
Machining is from 6061 aluminium, with a custom moulded dual-lip seal on the crown race to keep water and grit away from the bearing. Uppers and lowers are sold separately, so this cup pairs with a matching Wolf Tooth upper. A crown race installation adapter, sold separately, helps avoid damaging the seal during fitting. Note that it does not suit Surly 1-1/8 inch straight steerer forks.
