The SLR 3D Carbon is a road racing saddle built around a 3D printed cover rather than a moulded one. A proprietary printing pattern gives that cover differentiated cushioning zones, which absorb load progressively across the whole seating surface. The familiar SLR sitting shape is retained, and a Superflow opening through the centre of the platform relieves pressure on the perineal area.
Selle Italia produces the lattice with Carbon DLS additive manufacturing, which lets the structure vary where support and give are wanted. Full carbon rails in an oversize 7 by 9 millimetre profile keep the platform stiff without adding mass, and a revised rail angle helps damp road vibration. The neutral shape suits riders with anterior or posterior pelvic rotation.
