RS500 Rim Brake Wheelset 700c
The Shimano RS500 wheelset pairs 700c aluminum rims with a tubeless-ready clincher profile, giving riders a dependable option for rim brake road bikes. A 24mm rim depth and 20.8mm width support stable handling, while the welded joint construction keeps the hoops true under everyday riding. Presta valves and a Shimano hub complete a straightforward, serviceable package for club rides, commuting, or weekend training.
Front and rear hubs use quick release axles spaced at 100mm and 130mm, with 16 straight-pull spokes up front and 20 at the rear for durable wheel building. The freehub accepts Shimano HG 11 and 12-speed cassettes, so swapping onto most modern road groupsets is simple. Claimed weight comes in at 705 grams front and 944 grams rear, keeping the set reasonably light for everyday use.
