Bottom Bracket SM-BB80, Right & Left Adapter (BSA Threaded 68/73mm)

The SHIMANO SM-BB80 is the Saint-series external bottom bracket for frames with a BSA threaded shell. It carries the crankset axle on sealed cartridge bearings held in cups that sit outboard of the frame. The set covers 68 mm and 73 mm shells, and the supplied spacers set the correct bearing spacing for either width.

Both adapters are anodized aluminum in the gold finish Shimano uses across the Saint group, and three 2.5 mm resin spacers come in the box. The right adapter uses a left-hand thread and the left adapter a normal thread, so both tighten toward the centre of the shell. An inner cover bridges the two cups to keep water off the axle.
