The Race Face SHI 12 chainring is a 1x ring that bolts to any 104 BCD four-arm crank. Its tooth profile is cut specifically for Shimano 12-speed chains, and the ring is marked SHIM-12 Speed Chain Only to make that clear. Race Face narrow-wide tooth shaping alternates thick and thin teeth to hold the chain in place.
The ring is made from 7075 aluminum and runs a single-ring drivetrain with no front derailleur. Race Face lists it as eMTB Ready, covering all-mountain and enduro use on full-power e-bikes as well as regular trail bikes. Claimed weight is 85 g for the 34T, so it adds little to a build.
