The Maxxis Dissector II in Double Down casing is a 29x2.40 folding mountain bike tire aimed at enduro and bike park riding where sidewall protection matters more than minimum weight. The same fast-rolling center tread and cornering-focused side knobs carry over from the standard casing version, tuned for speed on varied terrain.
Double Down casing layers two plies of 120 TPI material with a butyl insert in the sidewall, guarding against cuts and pinch flats on rocky or root-strewn trails. The tire is tubeless ready and uses a dual-compound 3C MaxxTerra tread, pairing a faster-rolling center with softer, grippier side knobs for braking and cornering traction.
