The FSA Super Road is a 50 tooth outer chainring for a double road crankset. It bolts to a five arm spider with a 110 mm bolt circle and replaces a big ring that has worn out or been damaged without the cost of a new crankset. Shift ramps and pins are cut into the inner face so the chain climbs on cue.
FSA machines the ring from aluminium, which holds the tooth profile stiff when a rider loads the pedals out of the saddle. It works with 10 and 11 speed chains, so either generation of road drivetrain can run it. Confirm that the existing crankset uses a five bolt, 110 mm spider before fitting, since narrower bolt circles will not line up.
