Position Title: Senior Sales Associate
Location: 1497 Adanac Street, Vancouver, BC or 1419 Broad Street, Victoria, BC
Position Types: Full-Time
Reports To: General Manager
Compensation: $24.50/hour base, plus performance-based commission/bonus. Team members earn an additional $10,000–$30,000/year (variable, based on sales and performance).

The Senior Sales Associate plays a key role in delivering a high-quality in-store experience, with a primary focus on bicycle sales. This role supports customers through the full lifecycle of their visit—from initial conversation and product selection through checkout and post-purchase support—while ensuring they feel confident, informed, and well looked after.

In addition to leading bike sales, the Senior Sales Associate supports day-to-day customer service and acts as a liaison between the sales floor and service department. This includes managing service bookings, assisting with service pickups, and maintaining a strong working knowledge of Bici’s products, policies, and processes to support smooth operations across the shop.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive sales through excellent customer service, product knowledge and paring the right product
    with customer needs.
  • Build long-lasting relationships with customers, providing expert advice on product selection,
    maintenance, and cycling activities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales associates, helping to enhance their product
    knowledge and customer service skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in cycling, new products, and industry innovations to better
    assist customers and enhance the store's offerings.
  • Adhere to and be familiar with Rider Support and in-store policies and procedures.
  • Key holder responsibilities for opening and closing duties including shift leading role on weekend
    shifts

Strategic Outcomes:

  • Ensuring customers receive exemplary service and have the best bike possible for their needs.
  • Ensures customers are supported and listened to during their time in the shop.
  • Strong understanding of internal and customer-facing policies and processes for the Rider
  • Support (customer support) department and other external departments within the organization.
  • Regularly completes training modules to stay up-to-date and enhance product knowledge.

Skills and Experience:

  • Passion for cycling and the cycling community.
  • Comprehensive technical and product knowledge, coupled with a strong understanding of
    component compatibility.
  • Confidence in determining correct bike fit.
  • Sales experience in the bike retail industry.
  • More than one year of customer service experience
