XSL-Flat12 Super Light Wax

The KMC XSL-Flat12 Super Light Wax is a flat-top bicycle chain built for SRAM drivetrains that use Flattop chains. Its outer plates carry elongated cut-outs and the pins are hollow, which cuts mass from the drivetrain without reducing rated strength. KMC applies its GO wax treatment at the factory, so the chain runs clean and low-friction from the first ride.

Flat-top chains use a taller, squared-off outer plate profile that suits SRAM 12- and 13-speed Flattop cassettes, including Transmission and T-Type. They do not run on Shimano 12-speed or SRAM Eagle drivetrains, so check the groupset before ordering. Factory wax attracts less grit than wet lubricant, which keeps the cassette cleaner and stretches the interval between drivetrain washes.
