The Shimano Ultegra BR-R8170 Hydraulic Disc Brake Caliper is a front hydraulic disc caliper built for Shimano Ultegra road groupsets, using flat mount attachment and a two-piston layout. It pairs with the ST-R8170 lever and delivers a quicker initial bite point along with improved modulation over the previous generation.

A compact body keeps the caliper quieter during braking and simpler to service, with one-way bleeding for straightforward maintenance. It runs on Shimano mineral oil and pairs with resin or metal brake pads, plus RT-MT800 or RT-CL800 rotors for the front wheel.
