The Shimano RT-CL800 is a 160mm Center Lock disc brake rotor built with ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA construction, pairing stainless steel braking surfaces with an aluminum core. Exposed aluminum radiator fins extend outward from the core to speed heat dissipation and limit heat-related deformation, while a 3D-shaped aluminum carrier arm adds stiffness and helps quiet brake squeal during repeated braking.
Sitting at the Ultegra tier of Shimano's road disc lineup, the RT-CL800 shares FREEZA technology with the Dura-Ace RT-CL900 rotor. It measures 1.5mm thick, mounts via the Center Lock spline interface, and includes an internal-serration lockring for installation. The rotor works with both resin and metallic brake pad compounds, suiting a range of road and gravel braking setups.
