The Specialized Recon 3.0 is a race-ready mountain bike shoe built around Body Geometry technology, which improves pedaling power and comfort while reducing injury risk through optimized hip, knee, and foot alignment. It shares construction details with the S-Works Recon, including lace routing, BOA dial placement, and a carbon plate, at a reduced weight.

Carbon Stride technology combines a flexible outsole and toe box with a stiff cleat pocket, so the shoe flexes naturally when walking and stays rigid when pedaling. A fully-welded upper reduces seams for step-in comfort, while the Dual Dial BOA Fit System allows micro adjustable, multi-directional tightening. SlipNot rubber tread adds traction on varied terrain.
