VeloSpoke Bike Expo

If you're doing the RBC GranFondo Whistler this weekend, you're coming to VeloSpoke on Friday. Package pickup is mandatory, and every rider has to collect their own kit in person. So instead of just saying "come find us," we figured you'd rather know exactly what we'll have when you get there.

VeloSpoke takes over more than 60,000 sq. ft. of the Convention Centre with exhibitors, displays and live activations from top cycling, lifestyle and wellness brands. It's not just a pickup counter: expect gear demos, the latest in cycling tech, and specialists on hand to answer questions, and it's open to enthusiasts and families, not just Fondo riders.

If you're doing the Fondo, the one thing you can't skip is package pickup. Past that, give yourself a bit of extra time. Between the exhibits and the people running them, there's a lot worth slowing down for.

Bici is bringing the biggest kit we've ever brought to an expo, Bici-branded pieces made specifically for this route, and several of our favourite brands are joining us on the floor. Here's the rundown, so you can walk in with a plan instead of wandering past the booth.

We've put together a small Bici-branded collection built specifically around the Sea to Sky corridor, and you'll find everything at our VeloSpoke booth. Show up to the start in a Bici jersey with a matching bottle, then tuck the RideSaver rain jacket into a pocket just in case. Saturday's looking good, but if a stray cloud shows up, you'll be glad it's there.

Here's the one that matters most: the Vancouver start requires fully charged, working front and rear lights, on and used from the gun. If yours are dead, cracked, or missing entirely, you're not the only one. It happens every year, and Friday afternoon is when people find out.

A certified helmet is mandatory too, chinstrap buckled the whole ride. If yours is cracked, expired, or it's the one you keep meaning to replace, we'll have the ABUS GameChanger 2.0 in S, M and L.

Small thing, but it trips up a lot of riders: airlines don't allow CO2 cartridges, so if you flew into Vancouver for this, you landed without any. We'll have 16g and 20g cartridges, plus inflator heads, so that's one less thing to solve on race morning.

We don't usually get so many great brands at the same expo, so we're making the most of it.
