Square is a smart frame with high-end virtual shifting for indoor training that mirrors your bike’s components down to the exact drivetrain.
Square lets you customise the controls and match them to Shimano, SRAM or Campagnolo so riding indoors feels just like your own bike. Set the number of sprockets and cassette gearing, choose the teeth for each chainring, or pick pre-set profiles and sequential shifting straight from the companion app.
Shifts feel real: use the hood levers and bar buttons as you do outside. The belt drive delivers a smooth, even stroke with no noise or vibration — with Square, your sessions stay impressively quiet.
Square is fully adjustable, offering broad fit with seven adjustments: saddle height, tilt and setback; handlebar height and reach; top-tube length and crank length.
With a modular architecture, your setup stays upgradeable with endless options and next-level pain-cave accessories like Rizer.
Virtual Shifting and Customizable Gearing
Elite’s Smart Frame features a high-level virtual shifting system that offers extensive customization options during gear configuration.
Square allows you to replicate the three main manufacturers, Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo, with customizable configurations for gears and sprockets to exactly replicate your bike’s drivetrain.
Upon first use, simply select your preferred shifting system on the dedicated Square app to mimic the drivetrain groups of the main manufacturers with 13 customizable presets, allowing you to customize gear ratios, including the number of gears and the number of teeth on the cassette.
Square also offers two modes of pre-set profiles: for gears and teeth, divided into different course types (Flat Rides, Mountain Climbs, Hilly Courses). Alternatively, you can immediately use a convenient pre-set Shimano 12-speed profile (11-30).
Additionally, it includes a customizable sequential shifting system with variable resistance levels ranging from 5 to 24 levels.
Finally, operate the lever and button systems on the handlebar just as you would on your outdoor bike.
Multi-Function Handlebar
The handlebar includes the same buttons and levers for shifting and braking that you would find on bikes with Shimano, SRAM, or Campagnolo shifting systems, positioned and functioning the same way on the Square.
Each controller is equipped with 10 buttons: four buttons to activate third-party app controls (protocol available, pending integration by software developers), two buttons to directly control the airflow intensity of Aria, Elite's smart fan, if connected, or to enable virtual steering on Zwift, allowing your avatar to move left or right on the course, two shifting buttons, one button for the Campagnolo gear change, and one brake button, activated using the brake lever.
Combinations and pressing of levers and buttons enable additional controls such as extended shifting, switch between manual and simulation modes with Aria, or switch from one profile to another.
Handlebar Specifications
Buttons and controls are placed above the grips and handlebar for a comfortable and obstacle-free grip. Ideal for maintaining correct posture during training and easily using the buttons.
The handlebar has a width of 420 mm with a 6° flare. Perfect for ensuring maximum comfort during long training sessions or extreme races.
Enhancing handlebar comfort are the grips with soft, non-slip silicone covers, like most real bikes. In addition to offering a more comfortable feel, they ensure a more secure grip and greater durability over time.
The Square includes a pre-installed Garmin-compatible mount, making it compatible with the most popular bike computers on the market. A dedicated tablet holder will also be available for purchase, offering a comfortable and secure fit for all your devices.
Fully Customizable from XS to XL
Square's adjustable design offers unparalleled adaptability, allowing you to effortlessly replicate the measurements of bikes of varying sizes and heights, with adjustable options ranging from XS to XL.
In just a few simple steps, you can customize Square to match your bike perfectly, adjusting the different sections to accommodate your frame size, ensuring optimal pedaling biomechanics and muscle memory during indoor training sessions.
Square is designed with an architecture that allows precise adjustment to the millimeter:
- Height, inclination, and fore-aft adjustment of the saddle
- Height and fore-aft adjustment of the handlebar
- Length of the horizontal tube
- Length of the cranks
Refer to the measurements provided on the adjustment areas, complete with millimeter scales, to assist you in fine-tuning the frame to your pedaling preferences and your bike's dimensions effortlessly.
