Who is eligible to use Affirm?

Canadian residents who are the legal age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside, with a valid debit/credit card and government-issued ID.

What purchase amounts qualify for Affirm?
  • $50–$250: 4 interest-free biweekly payments
  • $250–$1,000: 3 (0% APR), 6, or 12-month terms (may include interest)
  • $1,000–$1,700: 6 (0% APR), 12, or 18-month terms (may include interest)
  • $1,700+: 12 (0% APR), 18, or 24-month terms (may include interest)
Will I pay interest?

Some plans are 0% APR, others are interest-bearing. You’ll always see full payment details before confirming.

What credit check is involved?
  • Soft check to show available plans
  • Hard check only when accepting certain terms
  • Your score won’t be affected by checking eligibility
Can I pay off my loan early?

Yes—there are no penalties or hidden fees for early repayment.

What happens if I return an item?

Once we process your return, Affirm updates your loan. If you’ve already made payments, you’ll be refunded.

Why was I not approved?

What purchase amounts qualify for Shop Pay?

Orders from $50–$30,000. Apparel, accessories, and bikes are all eligible.

What payment plans are available?

  • 6 or 12-month plans (interest may apply depending on eligibility)
Will I be charged interest?

No interest on 4 biweekly payments. Longer terms may carry interest—you’ll see all terms before confirming.

Does using Shop Pay affect my credit score?

No soft check for Pay in 4. A hard credit check may apply for longer terms.

Can I use Shop Pay for pre-orders or backorders?

Yes—your plan begins at checkout, regardless of ship date.

Can I manage my payments or change billing info?

Yes—log into your Shop Pay account to view or update billing details, see your plan status, or make early payments.

Can I cancel a payment plan?

Once confirmed, payment plans can’t be canceled, but eligible returns will automatically adjust your balance.

Is Shop Pay available in-store?

Currently, Shop Pay is only available through online checkout.
